Statement Of Purpose

Our Purpose As An Organization

To strengthen the ability of education in the areas of capturing the interest of children in education. Most of the children are not regular in school because their parents or guardians are fishermen and fishmongers whose occupations are seasonal work and because of that it reduces the children’s interest and ability in the educational aspect. The parents are used to taking their children to the seashores to help them in their activities when there is no money to give to their children as their day meal for them to go to school. Let alone what they will eat at home.

In furtherance to this, most parents cannot afford to provide school uniforms, learning materials, footwear, and school bags for their wards. Most parents also engage their children in stone quarrying and also send their children to the market to sell items that can help them to take care of them. For these reasons, some of the children are not punctual to school in the three terms which affects their learning abilities. This leads them to fail in their examination and when this happens they become wayward and street children.

Some of them even engage in social vices such as smoking, drinking, armed robbery, rape, and prostitution. Due to the above challenges that parents and their children face in the coastal areas, the G.N.D.F has taken a great step to reduce or eliminate such challenges by establishing a primary education school and helping the children with a school feeding program, school uniforms, school bag, and footwear and learning materials with a total number of 500 children. G.N.D.F foundation has also taken a great step in the health aspect of the children and some of their parents by supporting them in their physical and psychological needs.

Currently, the foundation has helped eighty (80) children by providing them with their health needs. The foundation focuses on extending the feeding program and health capacity to carry on. Now Ghana is among the developing countries so for us to improve our aims/objectives we need an amount of $16,000,000 to overcome the challenges that children faces in the coastal areas, farming communities and other part of the country.

The G.N.D.F lacks the following
